MY STRENGTHS lie in editing, visual direction, shaping ideas and working with artists in editorial, fine art and commercial arenas. Throughout my career, I have developed and maintained a wide range of professional relationships and built a broad network of contacts in both publishing and advertising.

As Director of Photography at Esquire (2000-2007), I directed and produced all of the cover shoots and features, worked with the Art Director on redesigns, brought in new photographers, created a visual identity for the magazine, restructured the photo department, and hired and managed the budget and staff.

In 2007, I left editing to become the Creative Director at Orchard, a photography representation division of Getty Images. After successfully restructuring the division, I left to start my own agency, Plum Reps. My goal was to create an agency with a specific aesthetic and position in the market.

To this end, I strategically updated, assessed and custom edited my photographers’ portfolios and projects, elevating their editorial and commercial visibility and reinforcing the Plum brand. In building the agency I established new contacts, gained a clear understanding of the current market, worked with photo editors and art buyers in the creative and editorial communities, and solicited and managed assignments. In collaboration with clients, I’ve developed and executed brand identity, exhibitions and high profile events.

Since founding Plum and transitioning into consulting, I’ve been able to help companies achieve goals through creative strategy, strong organization, focused editing, sound communication, and a commitment to close relationships.
